Visors, umlauts and diacritic marks - innovation in domain name business!
On 10th December 2009 at 11:00 in Active 24 starts .eu IDN domains registration. .Eu IDN domains have diacritic marks – national symbols such as Polish: ą, ę, ć, ź, ż or German: ü, ß, ä etc.
Domain reservations are possible since 8th December this year. In case of reservation an identical domain
by more than one person, the sequence of payments decides about the priority.
Firstly: the user of this domain can promote the brand using the original name spelling. Until now, the shortage of national diacritic marks used in the alphabets of many languages sometimes has caused difficulties in searching and relating domain with the right subject; sometimes domain name without diacritic marks has had different meaning f.e.: Polish sąd # sad (low court # orchard).
Secondly: the domain with diacritic marks additionally helps to get to the website, what increases web traffic, so important for sale, brand and product recognition.
Thirdly: With the diacritic marks the number of domains available for registration increased largely.

Active 24 Sp. z o.o. transfers its bank accounts service from
Bank PEKAO S.A. to Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. Therefore, please make all the payments into new bank account number that can be found on every proforma invoice isued since 12th of May 2009. The bank account number can also be found at administrative panel, at "payments" tab.
Please use NEW bank account number. Any payments sent to the past one, will be booked only until the end of November and any payments made after this period will be automatically sent back.

Administrative Panel – new features
To the administrative panel we have added „overpayment return” function which you can find at the payments section. Please use this function for returning of the overpayment as well as for the payments sent by mistake. This will expedite the process of returning these payments. The minimum transfer amount is 5 PLN.
Other new features:
- diagrammatic presentation about the transfer,
- data transfer for the e-mail services,
- access into the FTP logs.

Changes in databases names
We're changing the way the databases names are generated. For those domains that contain hyphens, in a new way of generating these names it will also be a hyphen. At the moment of the change all existing databases' names will automatically be updated. Please check all your websites maintained on our servers and if needed update the scripts.
An example: for your-domain.h2.pl the new system will generate : db1_your-domain_h2_pl.
